Note that the apartment is completely detached, with no one to disturb you and no one for you to disturb. The owners, Alan and Miry, live in a house in the grounds and are always on hand should you request help or information.

VISITORS GARDEN
The Loft visitors' garden is available to you throughout your stay.
Mainly lawn, it also has a tiled patio with a table and chairs and barbeque equipment.
The garden enjoys the sun throughout the day but trees provide shade if needed.
GOYT WAY
Cross over the road outside the apartment and within moments you are on the Goyt Way and the Torrs Riverside Park.
This fascinating walk along the river Goyt takes in the old abandoned mills, the award winning Millenium Bridge, the viaducts at New Mills gorge and the town's own mini hydro-electric scheme as well as beautiful riverside scenery and plant and wild life.
What better way to get to the town of New Mills than a 20 minute stroll along the river bank?
The award-winning Torrs Millennium Walkway is a much admired bridge set deep in the spectacular Torrs Riverside Park and gorge.
for about half of its 125 yards length it hugs a tall retaining wall, before running along pillars rising from the river bed.
It forms the final link in the Midshires Way long distance footpath, allowing you to walk from the apartment into New Mills.
THE PEAK DISTRICT NATIONAL PARK
The Loft is an ideal base to explore the beautiful and varied Peak District National Park whether on foot or by bike, car, train or bus. Bikes can be hired from Peak Tours
Kinder Scout is only about 4 miles away and it is possible to walk there along footpaths and trails all the way from the apartment. Once there, you can follow the Trespass Trail, which follows the route of the famous mass trespass of 1932 which did so much to open up the countryside for ramblers.
New Mills station, just a mile away, is on the beautiful Hope Valley Railway line taking you to the Derwent, Edale and Hope valleys or into the centre of Manchester or Sheffield. More details, including a railway map of Derbyshire, can be seen here.
